I heard someone say this today and thought how true these words are. Those of you that know me personally understand that I have not lived a risk free life with nearly 7500.00 flight hours over a 20 yr period there is a certain amount of risk involved in flying. Obviously my lifetime flight time does not equal the risk that astronauts take each time they strap on the Space Shuttle and kick the tires and light the fires.
When there fire is lit they get a “E-Ticket Ride” like no other on the planet. The reward and risk are great and yet when there is a problem the price one will pay is the ultimate sacrifice.
