Techies Political Voice

I belonged to a organization in the past that supported my views in Washington this organization was aligned with Internet Service Providers. Being I am no longer on the front-lines of that effort I let my membership lapse. In one of my daily newsletters I read a article from ZDNet.Com caught my eye. The opening comment was of enough impact to have me read the full article.

Quoting the Article from ZDNet “Geeks are beginning to realize they need to punish the Luddites in Congress who are standing in the way of progress. ”

This is so true who do we have fighting for us In DC? I have been negligent myself in finding a new trade association that has a voice in the beltway that will cover agenda items that are near and dear to my heart. Some of you may think what is the use. A single voice is usually drowned but 10,000 voices are a little harder to ignore.

Personally I think I would make a great lobbyist friends of mine may disagree. Getting back to the article we need to insure that our voice is heard! That folks takes cold hard cash to support. Many of you may not have spare dollars collecting mold but there are a lot of Geek’s that became filthy rich during the .com boom and some that went broke but collectively we need to align and insure that our voice is heard.
