Every once in a while we have our highly valued web designer Kristine from Love-Productions make some changes to the site. We are happy to Pay her for here services and she does great work so any of you running Blogs particularly Movable Type we highly encourage you to send her some business.
I am not a graphics artist and even though I have designed and maintained all of my other web sites over the past several years I decided to let a true professional have creative freedom and build the motif that is on the site today.
The site has been upgraded to Movable Type Version 2.51. The site now supports a search bar which was really needed along with trackback and permalink improvements. Also there was some changes done to the way external pages are created and maintained that have the bio’s contact info etc.
We also want to remind everyone that Geek News Central is a not for profit site you will never see a pop-up add or be bombarded with an advertisement. The cost to support the ever increasing bandwidth is supported by yours truly.
We have had several authors apply to be editors and some have never fully followed thru. With the exception of Infatech who when he post has a great peace. We are really looking for that sassy geek woman to add to the mix of postings. If you are a geek at heart and a woman drop us a line we would love to have you on the team.
