With the proliferation of these types of services I think there will be some crazy inovations along these product lines. I am not at all sure that I am thrilled with the possibilities. But hey companies such as Pomals will be using the Governments GPS constelation for there own profit. The question is what happens if Uncle Sam turns off the feed.
GPS products for under $100, plus $5 a month for service — a steal in today’s market will be available in a few months. They can be conveniently put into a child’s bookpack and other places. [Wired]
RadioShack has BPS casing for cell phones that tells you the whereabouts of your teens at all times. You simply log on to a website for a map of the phone’s location. (I think they are about $400)
