Editors note before I go off. We here at Geek News Central do not support denial of service attacks we feel the energy put forth to do this could be better spent by forming grass roots petition drives and political activities to send a clear message to your rep in Congress and House of Rep that you are strongly against the strong arm tactics of the RIAA/MPAA.
But apparently the RIAA become the focus of a very substantial DOS attack this prior weekend.
I Wonder if it is because the RIAA has managed to piss every hacker off on the planet and with RIAA endorsing a bill in congress that gives them the legal right to hack and attack computers they feel are breaking the law..
They can not be surprised. I bet this is only the tip of the iceberg I pity the company that is put in charge of attacking individuals computers when they get there law passed.
Those that did the attack will probably feel the heat as the RIAA has deep pockets and have declared war on piracy. I think I read a statement someplace today that basically said that the RIAA true reason for being scared like they are is that there whole empire is in danger of collapse because the people have become empowered to do things technology wise that they want to stop at any cost. I would imagine that it will become a firestorm. Music is as close to one’s soul as you can get and when the politicians get involved and try to control what you can and cannot listen to on your computer. People get irritated.
I wonder as these bills move through congress will these DOS attacks become more frequent and organized?
