Broadband Woes

Just as American companies are preparing to impose bandwidth restrictions on there users. Our friends across the Atlantic are having some of the same pains that American consumers have had to deal with.

As a early adapter of Broadband I loved the extreme speed but as it was accepted by the general public the speed on my cable connection has fluctuated up/down and even though I am sure the ISP was having a hard time keeping up with the demand they continued to advertise that service as 100’s time faster than dial-up those of you on a Broadband connection know that the advertising was absolutely false but because these companies are so big and the companies so fickle about turning of the connection if you complained to much people have been afraid to speak up.

I have about 25 neighbor’s that are withing about 100 yds of my house who have been thinking about paying for our own T1 which would help. Time will tell if this will happen If we all did this we could put the local ISP’s out of business and make our own destiny. Anyway the users in Europe are having some of the same troubles we see in the States. [BBS-News]
