Belkin 2-Port Car Charger Review

belkinLike many families, my kids are of an age where they have devices of their own. Living in Hawaii the traffic is incredibly bad, and we spend up to 3 hours a day in our vehicles. My Mazda CX9 fortunately has two charger outlets to plug devices like the Belkin 2-Port car charger into. Using a single charger port it delivers 10 watt / 2.1 amp per port.

The iPhone 5, iPad Mini and iPad 4th Generation accept this higher charge rate. What we found very compelling with this device is that we where able to charge two Apple devices at the same time, and with 2-5 people in the car at any given time this was a life saver.

Being my car has two outlets we can have the kids charge their Android devices through the other socket on a separate device, at the lower charge rate those devices typically will accept.

There are a lot of cheap knock offs you can buy at almost every big box, the Belkin charger is Apple certified and carries the “Made for Logo” on the packaging. All of our devices charged as fast as if they where plugged into the wall at home. Priced at $44.99 on Belkin or lower at third party sites pick up a certified car charger for your Apple devices and stay charged at all times.
