The charger ships with a proprietary 6 foot cord that matches the color of the charger. It has interchangeable PC tips that match about 90% of the PC’s on today’s market. In addition to PC laptops, the charger can work with Apple devices, Samsung devices, and all popular Android devices. It can also be used to charge a GoPro or Boss portable speaker.

Best of all, the charger has the intelligence to figure out the appropriate amount of watts and volts to go into whatever device it is charging. It is small enough to carry in your pocket, weighs 3 ounces, and has retractible prongs.

You can preorder the Zolt laptop charger now for $79.99 (which is a preorder special price). It will ship in early spring of 2015 for a price of $99.99.

Chris had a chance to speak with Steve Gibson from Zolt. Steve explained how Charger Plus can be used to charge a laptop computer, using a special USB cable plugged into the top USB port of the charger, leaving the second port free to charge another device. Charger Plus will ship with adapters that work with most of the popular laptops on the market. (A special adapter for MacBooks will be sold separately.)
