Jeffrey talks with Visteon about the future of touchscreen technology. Visteon is merging today’s touchscreen with yesterday’s buttons and knobs. You will see an example of a car dashboard that, no matter how good the description, you will probably just want to feel for yourself. Imagine a touchscreen that gives the feel of turning a knob or moving a slider. This is all probably next-gen stuff, at least as far as cars go, but the technology is being built into such things as touchscreen remotes and appliances today. Visteon is doing a lot research and working with average consumers to get their ideas.
