Altia Systems Brings PanaCast 3 to CES 2019

Altia Systems, creators of PanaCast 2, the world’s first 180° Panoramic-4K plug-and-play video camera system, announced the introduction of PanaCast 3, the world’s first intelligent panoramic video system with 40 megapixels resolution for today’s generation of distributed teams.

Panacast 3 integrates three 13-megapixel cameras, stereo microphones and advanced software to deliver 100% video coverage, 100% audio capture and 100% data sensing.

PanaCast 3 easily mounts on top of any digital display or on a wall with available mounting hardware. The USB-C connection allows connection to any compatible device or display for instant setup and mobile meeting capability. PanaCast 3 is compatible with all of today’s leading collaboration software providers, including Microsoft Teams, Skype, Zoom, Cisco WebEx, Slack, Google Hangouts, GoToMeting, join.me, and more.

Launching at an unprecedented industry price point of $895, PanaCast 3 uses three 13-megapixel cameras working together as one via the PanaCast Vision Processor to capture the entire room on video, a digital signal processor and two omnidirectional microphones with 40% better separation for enhanced audio and an advanced multi-sensor AI array that has built-in capabilities to detect people.

PanaCast 3 delivers crystal clear video over a 180-degree field of view at Panoramic-4K resolution (3840×1080), without the distortion of ultra-wide angle or fisheye lens cameras. PanaCast 3 lets users include all team members in their conversations and utilize every seat in their rooms or collaboration spaces, with lossless zoom up to 6x and real-time video stitching just 18 inches from the camera.

PanaCast 3 is the company’s first model to come standard with Intelligent Zoom, which automatically adjusts the field of view to include everyone in the conversation, and PanaCast Vivid, which maximizes video performance from dim rooms by autonomously adjusting luminance to present everyone in the best light.

Intelligent Zoom and PanaCast Vivid are part of PanaCast’s Intelligent Vision 2.0 suite of edge AI software products for the PanaCast line of camera systems.

Altia Systems Showcases PanaCast 2 Video Camera at CES 2016

PanaCast 2Altia Systems will showcase its PanaCast 2 Panoramic-4K video camera at CES 2016. It is a CES 2016 Innovation Award Honoree.

PanaCast 2 is a Plug-and-Play USB Panoramic-4k (3840 X 1080 pixels) camera system that delivers State-of-the-Art 180º panoramic video stream in real-time. It is priced at $995.00. PanaCast 2 addresses the two most significant roadblocks to implementation of a full AR (Augmented Reality) / VR (Virtual Reality) experience – visual distortion and latency – both of which degrade user experience.

PanaCast 2 uses multiple miniaturized high-resolution cameras to capture independent video streams and stitches them together in real time to produce 4K-quality video similar to the human eye with no fisheye distortion. Image processing is accomplished in less than 5ms, compared to the human brain’s image processing time of up to 80ms. No time-consuming post processing is required. The result is a real-time natural visual experience.

Among the first commercial applications is group-to-group or group-to-one video communications focused on over 30 million huddle spaces being rapidly adopted by visual Millennials in the workplace. More than 80 enterprise companies and educational institutions have already deployed PanaCast 2 for business collaboration and global learning since it’s launch in September of 2015.

Altia Systems’ PanaCast 2 video camera will be showcased at the CES Unveiled media event on January 4 from 4:30 to 7:30 PM at the Mandalay Bay Hotel.
