Microsoft Patch for NT4

Several weeks ago Microsoft announced that a known exploit was going to be impossible to fix in Windows NT. Seems the brains over at Microsoft figured out how to patch NT up and have a fix ready for installation. This update has not made it to the MS Update site yet but it is on there Technet Site. Ensure that you only install updates that you can verify are coming directly from the Microsoft support website. Downloading and installing patches and supposed fixes from sites other than Microsoft can be dangerous. There is a patch floating around that has a virus in it that is not a Microsoft release. So like any software you install trust the source.

Surprised? No neither am I, my thoughts are I can't believe my computer hasn't been hacked up to this point considering the number of bugs that Microsoft keeps finding. [Zdnet]
