TV across Fiber (FIOS)

I came across this [article] and was intrigued by it. I have had Verizon FIOS for over a year now and have been eagerly awaiting FIOS TV. I have been watching the announcements of Verizon’s various content deals and have been very happy with what I have been reading.

While I enjoyed the article it did leave me with some questions concerning the connection and required hardware.

Does each connection require both a RF45 and coaxial connection?
Does each connection require a battery back-up similar to the one on the ONT
What are the models of the set top boxes?
Can you share content between two boxes in the same house?

I do question Verizon’s marketing campaign though. I saw an airplane flying a banner over my town last weekend stated that “FIOS TV is here”. I called Verizon and they told me that it was not available. I was also told that they were just letting us know that it was going to be available in the future.

I am looking forward to getting FIOS TV so that I can receive a larger selection of HD content. Plus, the on-demand options appear to be very appealing. Living in Keller, TX I had always hoped I could be a beta tester and got the real story.
