In February this blog and 11 other domains moved to a Virtual Dedicated server and only a short 8 months later we have this box running at about the maximum amount it can sustain. So this afternoon I opened my wallet and laid down a wad of cash and purchased a dedicated server that has some real horsepower under the hood. In the end only Geek News Central and 2 other sites will reside on this server. The rest of the sites on this box and some outlaying shared hosting accounts will be migrated to the new box.
I also wanted to make sure podcasternews.com was on it’s own server, this is in anticipation of the traffic we are expecting at launch. This is the start of a new chapter in things I am doing at Podcast Connect of which will become apparent in coming weeks.
Pocasters continue to apply and we are slowly going through the questionnaires.
Congratulations, Todd. Sounds like things are really working out for you. I’m going to send you an email in a second about the quality of the audio on your last podcast. For now, just keep doing what you are doing because youre doign great.
