Movable Type 3.0 many questions linger

I have been fortunate that I have been able to participate in a significant number of Beta tests. In fact I have been on a small team of Beta testers for a company in Florida for almost 6 years and have grown used to keeping my mouth shut.

But it is interesting to be sitting on the sidelines trying to make strategic decisions on the fate of this websites design when all you have to go on is speculation. We approached a new firm tonight to head up our website development and possibly create us a new look. The end goal to give the site a face-lift and to also be ready to incorporate all of the forthcoming changes in Movable Type 3.0 but now all we have to go one is that the comment system is basically going to be spammer proof. Nothing revolutionary in that but hopefully they folks over at Six Apart have done their homework and will be bringing some new feature sets to the table.

It is obvious that the folks over at Userland are not making any improvements to there code and that Blogger has fell into the black-pit of Google. So hopefully the team over there have good direction. Many of us are counting on them to release a fantastic product. I have my check-book ready to write them a check for the pro-version. So if anyone gets a whiff of there roadmap and what we are to expect drop us a line and throw us a link.

I know some of you are testing MT version 3 and are bound by your NDA not to have a public viewable site yet. Believe me I have been looking around and Google has not yet found you but it is only a matter of time before a site gets found. When it happens we hope that you will be willing to let us have a look.

Any link for where we can learn what the new features are, besides of course spam proof commenting?
