I am of the same opinion that Single song music prices may be headed somewhat downward. It cannot get much lower but with the Recording Industry getting .68 cents there is .32 cents of headroom using .15% markup the price should be closer to .78 cents with Walmart introducing .88 cent per track pricing then we are getting closer. I predict with time it will be a loss leader. That stores will reward your shopping at there store with points toward’s music.
Imagine how happy that would make a lot of people. You go to Walmart drop a $100.00 and they give you credit for 5 free songs. This rewards brand loyalty in a whole new way. Remember green stamps that grocery stores used to get. Granted you had to collect thousands but I remember mom getting some cool stuff after years of collecting them. [Techdirt]

Used to? Here in NC, Lowe’s Foods still gives them and there are tons of cool things you can get.
