I have been doing a lot of reading up on WiFi after setting it up here. Most of the articles spell doom or gloom. But there is a lot of good information out there. Don’t assume you can just whip that wireless access point (WAP) out of the cardboard and styrofoam, plug it in, and start networking. It’ll probably work, but you won’t be secure at all.
But never fear there is a lot of information out there. To read the dark details here is a great paper. I found some great Tips to secure your WiFi Network. I also found a great article that contains 7 security concerns of WiFi implementation. I also found a great wireless LAN security FAQ
I hope this helps you in securing your WiFi network.
I’m interested in WiFi, and would like info about how to implement it in my area.
Im located in the South Texas border, and intend to enter the niche for a city in the north part of Mexico. (Currently the only internet services for the area are
dial-up, ADSL and cable based internet).
Could someone help me with this?
Thanks I will really appreciate your time.
By the way my cel. is (956) 459-3956.
