MOCACARE is headquartered in Palo Alto, California, and has an engineering center in Taipei, Taiwan. They created MOCAheart based on an urgent need, personal life experiences, human-centered design principles, and the latest heart health technology.
MOCAheart uses a new approach to monitor cardiovascular health. It uses blood velocity as a correlation to blood pressure. The MOCAheart device makes the tracking of cardiovascular health super simple by removing the need for bulky cuffs and complicated monitors.
By scanning thumbs, MOCAheart measures blood velocity to determine a number of important indicators of hearth health including heart rate and blood oxygen levels. It uses the MOCA INDEX, which is a measurement on a simple 1-5 scale, that is correlated to blood pressure.
In general, the faster blood travels through blood vessels, the more pressure the heart is under. Because systolic and diastolic blood pressure figures can be hard for everyday users to understand and remember, the MOCA INDEX is an easy way to understand the current state of your cardiovascular health.
MOCAheart will be demonstrated at CES Unveiled on January 4, 2016, as well as throughout CES at the Sands Expo Center, Hall C booth number 74760.
