The LTE chipsets made by Altair Semiconductor are in phones right now. They are the first LTE chipsets to be certified by Verizon for use on the Verizon network, and are in the process of certifying with AT&T as well. Altair also makes LTE chipsets that can be used in tablets and LTE USB dongles. Their “sweet spot” is in MTM applications, where a machine communicates directly with another machine and needs to send data from one to the other. Altair Semiconductor has products that are available in the USA, Europe, Asia, and India.
