Ciil Technologies for Outside TVs and Displays

Andy McCaskey talks to Adam Molberger from Ciil Technologies. That’s pronounced “seal”, in case you were wondering, and gives a clue to what this company does. It makes waterproof and dust-proof TVs and displays so the screen can stay outside whatever the weather, come rain or shine.

Andy and Adam run through some of the features of the TVs, including systems to keep the internal environment as controlled as possible. Ciil gives a few examples of where they’ve installed units, particularly in the Chicago area, where there can be significant temperature variations over the year.

It’s not cheap – a 42″ sealed LCD TV runs around $4000 – and the range runs from 32″ up to 55″ in size.
