The news today is obviously full of the plot to blow up airplanes, the first time they used box cutters and brute force this time they want to use Laptops, iPods, Car Alarm system fobs and water bottles filled with chemicals. It goes to show you that they are willing to adapt
I am sure it will not be long before we are going to have to check our valuable carry on bags. I shudder to think of having to send my Laptop, iPod, PDA, Cell Phone and the host of other tech gadgets that I normally carry on the plane to the checked luggage area. Heck my carry on bag at times has $5000.00 in electronics inside it. We all know how baggage handlers handle carry on luggage.
The luggage folks I am sure are rushing to there design desktops to design the next generation of checked luggage bags to accommodate the geeks out there. Don’t get me wrong whatever is going to keep me safe in the air is paramount but you are going to hear a lot of people bitching about this.
One thing for sure is the airlines better have there act together, and start handing out water bottles because those tiny cups of water is not going to cut it. Good job though to the British and American agencies involved, and lets hope they catch all of these bastards.
