First let me start by saying if a deal looks to good to be true, you can be assured that it is likely is. Well sadly their is usually a scam involved and most of the time it involves someone trying to take money out of unsuspecting people’s pockets. My co-worker who is an avid camera buff and I were discussing the variety of tricks some of these discount online retailers do to get you buy from them. They also employ tactics that I term bait and switch. They sell you a camera but remove the included battery, charger, strap et then they try to sell you these items as accessories and drive the price up beyond what the price would have been for the full kit. Be careful out there.
The linked story is one that is replicating itself throughout the web, the particular company involved PriceRitePhoto at PriceRitePhoto.com has abused the wrong person this time. This is 2005 and Mafia and strong arm tactics will not be put up with in the digital age. In my opinion you should not buy anything from this company. Based on what I have read PriceRitePhoto is a company you should not do business with. [ThomasHawk.com]
