I read Mark Cuban’s story with interest and although I agree with him in several points I take exception to a couple of points he makes.
He says Podcasting will not flourish into a good business model because podcasting is destined to be just like streaming. I think the nature of podcasting in “The Power of Walk Away Content” gives it a edge. Only true geeks knew how to record streams and it just wasn’t handy. I cannot stream audio at my job and their is only so many hours in the day to capture a stream. With podcasting the audio is downloaded automatically while I sleep, uploaded to my high capacity media player and I have more audio then I can listen to each day.
Podcasting will be and is different for this sole fact. You can take it and listen anytime, anyplace, anywhere! [Mark Cuban]
