Speaking of Dell, they just announced that Intel was back in their good graces and that AMD was no longer going to be a source of processors. According to Kevin Rollins, a Dell Exec,
“So for awhile Intel admittedly–Intel slipped technologically, and AMD had made us step forward and we were seeing that in terms of customer response and requests and analyst–when that happens you’re going to see us respond,” Rollins added. “There’s gonna be no magic there, you’re going to see us respond. “We believe that Intel acknowledged the challenges, got their engineers fired up and have been steadily and improving their technological roadmap vis-à-vis AMD and that’s now starting to put customers a bit more at ease that they don’t need to make the shift,” Rollins said.
