3:00 am Hawaiian Standard time, RING RING, as I jump out of bed I am thinking my sister has went into labor and it’s time to roll. As I answer the phone I get a is Mr Cochrane in. I say “IN” and then say who the hell is this. I get a dramatic Pause and the caller says this is Joe Schmuck from PC World calling to renew your free subscription.
I reach down deep and explode on this poor sap. DO YOU KNOW WHERE THE HELL HAWAII IS, AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS HERE FOR YOUR INFORMATION IT’S 3:00 AM IN THE MORNING. I then proceed to slam the phone as hard as I can hoping he hears me break the handset back in his call center.
This happens about once a month and it really makes me mad. What irritates me even more is somehow they have found out my personal number and not my business line..
I caution all of you to not call the “808” area code before 3pm EST or 12pm PST
