I made a purchase the other day online and entered the incorrect expiration date to my credit card. Of course the transaction failed but that single event was enough to signal a security flag with my banking institution. It reassured me that they are keeping a eye on things. I guess I don’t understand why purchases I make in foreign countries are not flagged. I suppose they build a profile on you and once they determine you travel outside the US that purchases in foreign countries can be considered normal. I am not so sure I am happy with that but I guess it’s better than you card not working when your trying to pay for dinner.
