What a topic to have to write about. Verisign will join the ranks of SCO and a few other companies for being 100% idiots. Verisign has decided to re-launch SiteFinder. They will hijack sites that are reporting 404 codes or sites that may not be resolving to a page of their choosing. The SiteFinder site is nothing but a search engine that is designed to make Verisign money. There will be a major war as ISP’s.
So if you are using Verisign as your domain registrar I suggest you move them to a alternative registrar. In most cases other registrars are cheaper and offer a lot of value added service for free which Verisign charges for. [Dan Gillmor] [Washington Post]
