The third WarDriving event is underway thru the 5th of July so if you spot a vehicle parked outside your house with some geeks inside running a laptop and a couple of weird antennas on the roof don’t be surprised if your WiFi connection has just been mapped. The group has been criticized in the past but there goal is raise awareness of unsecured wireless connections.
If you are a long term reader here at Geek News you will have already verified that you have secured your own WiFi Network and if you haven’t I hope you don’t mind people snooping around your personal network. Remember a non secure wireless connection is behind your firewall so you are a sitting duck.
