With this post Geek News Central will have 1045 post on topics from A to Z. What I have realized as the content on the site increases so do the number of hits we are getting from the search engines. With Google and several other search engines indexing the site every night our information is making it into the search engines almost immediately.
Wired has examined how blogs are effecting search engine results, in that blogs are often times the top search results on search terms. I review the logs daily and find it amazing the number of hits some articles get. For example I have written 3-4 articles on the 321 studio’s lawsuit and when news breaks as it did yesterday on the case, we had nearly 5000 hits to a particular post I wrote earlier this year. The goal I have now on the site is to try and intelink the older articles with the new ones, so that when a person finds us via a search engine on a topic we want the individual to be able to quickly locate the associated articles within our site.
Blogs are making a difference and our opinions are getting out. We hope that the information we present allows the searcher to gain knowledge and hopefully be persuaded to form the opinion we present. This can only be done through convincing readers hard hitting opinions. Tell us what you think of our style and if you found us through a search engine your initial opinion. [Wired]
