I have always said when I buy my first home I am going to have it wired for broadband. This is of course if I build a new home. Savvy home owners are putting Cat 5 cable and Fiber in their new homes to make them full broadband ready and also to insure that they don’t have to run cables all over the place.
The UK is proposing a change in housing regulations that will force builders to include the wiring by default. The United States would be smart to do the same. Can you imagine the added re-sale value for the initial small investment. [ZDNet]
