Be careful the pack of Razors is bugged!

I did an article on a Radio Transmitter Chip in Every Consumer Product last year and today the technology is being re-visited. Imagine you walk into a store fill your basket check-out and pay with your credit card. At the instant your sale is complete the items you bought are removed from the stores inventory and your purchase record is sent to advertising aggreators that build a never ending profile on your every day purchases. Which then send you targeted e-mail spam and stuff that you get in your mailbox.

Not only that, this data is then sent to your Life Insurance Company. How would you like to get a notice in the mail saying:

Dear Sir on your life insurance policy you filled out you stated that you did not smoke. But it has come to our attention that you have purchased a carton of cigarettes every week for the past 6 months. You have 2 choices, 1st we will raise your premium by 1000% or if you do not agree we will cancel your insurance. Being your HMO is a partner company we have also informed them of your habit.

Think this far from the truth read on my friends. Cash is always KING! But beware of the chip that has been secretly installed in your wallet. [New York Times]
