Lets say you have your cell phone thru company X and you switch to Company Z well those of us that have done that a couple of times know how much of a pain it is to tell all of the people you do business with of your new number. It is such a pain that some people never change carriers and suffer with poor service as it is to painful to make the switch.
Well Verizon who is fighting in court the FCC ruling that will allow us to take our cell phone numbers with us when we switch have started allowing customers that are signing up with them to bring there cell numbers with them. This ruling is mandatory starting mid Nov this year. Seems Verizon has no problem sticking it to competitors but they want their cake and eat it to. [News.com]
