I can only think that there are some real stupid people out there acting on spam messages. Otherwise why would they still be coming in by the thousands.
I think the reason we are getting so many is dumb people are e-mailing a million people at a time hoping that 1% of 1% respond. Enough is enough someone has to do something. We need a revision to the protocol used to transport e-mail. Then block everyone that are not pre-authorized per address not domain.
My kids are getting spammed and they have kept their primary address’s secret. But I am not the only one that is fully fed up with it. I am running filters on my servers which block a lot. The top filtered day thus far has been a 75,000 spam blocked. What the server filter doesn’t catch I end up with about a 100 a day making it into my inbox. Then my e-mail spam eliminator gets rid of another 90 which leaves me with 10 or so to manually delete.
