My oldest daughter has asked only once for a cell phone. She found out from me my opinion on the matter in a hurry. When she gets old enough to date or goes shopping with her friends she can borrow mine or my wife’s but I’ll be damned if she is going to have a cell phone until she is old enough to pay for it herself.
I may be a bit conservative on this subject but some parents in California are fighting for the right for there kids should be allowed to have cell phone at school. If you ask me I think there a bunch of spoiled babies.
I have already given my daughter use of a older laptop that has Windows 98 on it and it serves her well, but something about a cell phone at school just gets under my skin. I remember having to use a pay phone or ask a staff member to make a call. But I did go to a small school and everyone knew everyone. Let me know what you think [ABC News]
