This pisses me off more than anything. You know I and 10’s of thousands others pay nearly $50.00 a month for a broadband Internet connection. I am definitely a Power User but I do not make it a practice to go download MP3’s every day. I have no idea how much bandwidth I utilize but it probably is 2-3 gigs a month. I am sure there are some abusers out there but I also bet some people barely use there service thus a trade-off you accept in business.
But is seems that little by little the broadband companies are trying to get there consumers used to the idea that they are going to put on bandwidth caps. If this happens I will just do my own thing and get my neighbors involved and we will form a coalition and string our own line.
Caps on bandwidth usage and penalties are going to make people upset the backlash is what they are afraid of or they would have already imposed the fee’s and restrictions. Those of you on broadband be ready to FIGHT! [CNET]
