Today I read a interesting opinion on a story via my RSS aggregator, wanting to read the original article I looked for a link to the source material. Not able to find a link I looked at other articles this individual had written and I found a high number of articles with no links back to the source.
The reason I want to highlight this is that I am starting to see more of this. I sent a note to the blogger telling him why I was un subscribing. Turns out the blogger was doing it on purpose as he wanted people to load his web page as he has the source article linked in a way on his website that it does not get put in the RSS feed. He wants people to load his webpage to get to the source link.
Well with 1000 plus site feeds to read each day guess what I don’t have time for that and am still going to unsubscribe. If bloggers are going to start that kind of monkey business it will be easy to pair down my subscription list.
