Back in November I was getting ready to head off to the Podcast and Portable Media Expo when I realized that although I had business cards for Podcast Connect, I did not have any for Podcaster News, one of my business partners said don’t worry we will get them made and bring them to the show.
That turned into a near disaster as they were designed in such a way that they were just a little bit over sized and would need to be printed at Kinkos and then cut. Well the design was perfect but the layout caused Kinkos to pull their hair out.
I decided then that from that point forward we would insure we used standard business card sizes. I have played around over the years with a number of Business Card design applications, having received the BellTech Business Card Designer Pro I was not sure what to think and probably expected a similar experience but instead what I got was a mini graphics editing program that does a superb job in getting great designs on a business cards with some features I have not seen in a software product such as this before.
Line, Cropping, Shading and text overlay tools that allow you to positions items pixel by pixel. I really wish we would have had this application in Ontario as it would have saved us some headaches. Overall the application is very good and if you are going to be designing some business cards for your business and printed on your own printer or even taking the exported PDF to Kinkos this is a great application.
