First of all I am not a big fan of AOL, I told a lot of my friends that owned stock in them during the bubble to bail when the getting was good, some of them send me bottles of whiskey every year at Christmas for helping them make the right decision. Well here is some advice to the AOL folks. Your customers e-mail will become a wasteland of no inbound e-mail from all of the 90+ domains I own because I can guarantee you I will not pay this extortion to send e-mail to people I know on your network.
Their are a lot of great solutions out their that would work, but everyone has their little rice bowls to protect. Seems like a good time to have all AOL users move to Gmail. Another bone head move by AOL, no wonder they have driven Time Warner’s stocks down. [USA Today]
