First impression of Google Desktop 2, it tries to take up a lot of space on my desktop. Gosh I really hate applications that are desktop pigs. 75% of that is on the sidebar is going to be removed if I can figure out how to get rid of the elements.
The application loves to eat up bandwidth by calling home and doing whatever it does. Search is expanded and looks at a lot more information. The Windows “find” function has just been made obsolete I will never use it again. Speed of search continues to be blazingly fast.
I just wish the application would index mapped drives and PST files that are not loaded in outlook. Thankfully I can kill the sidebar and still have all of the functionality. [Google Desktop]
