Within the next 36-48 hours Geek News Central is moving to a dedicated server. With it we will be moving around 20 other domains that are on this shared host. Being we are going to a dedicated machine we will have considerable more bandwidth hosted. The move should be transparent. You may see a period of 12-24 hours where their is no posting on the website.
Are hope is that you will not be presented with a blank page. But being DNS changes are what they are you may find a blank page from time to time.
I have completed the initial transition with over 800 megs of archives and database being moved.
Why are we moving. The reason is two fold my experience with Infinology has steadily went downhill over the past year. Last night I was up to 3am to put in temp fixes from server misconfiguration on their end. From now on if something fails I will be able to fix it myself immediately.
