 Apple reclaims world’s leading brand crown from Google:
 The US-based computer giant was voted the most influential brand of 2004 in a survey of about 2,000 advertising executives, brand managers and academics, conducted by Brandchannel. The magazine’s parent company, Interbrand, said that Apple Computer’s re-dominance in the latest survey was driven by the iMac computer and the trend-setting iPod music players. The online search giant, Google, descended to the second position in the latest survey, after having held the top position in the past two years.

 Apple upgrades laptop line: 
US computer company Apple has launched a new PowerBook line, featuring PowerPC G4 processors running up to 1.67GHz. All PowerBooks come standard with 512MB memory, integrated AirPort 802.11g, Bluetooth 2.0 wireless networking and two Apple patent-pending technologies — the Scrolling TrackPad and the Sudden Motion Sensor. Every PowerBook includes iLife ’05, Apple’s suite of digital lifestyle applications. iLife ’05 includes iTunes 4.7.1, iPhoto 5, iMovie HD, iDVD 5 and GarageBand 2.
