The millions of man-hours to develop websites all start out with good intentions but many times peoples patients run out or people move on to bigger and better things. I know I have a few websites out there that have continued to acquire hits but have not been updated in ages.
But unlike our homes where we clean-house from time to time this is not required on the net. Thus the deadwood continues to pile up this can be a good and bad thing. Personally god willing a website that I do not publicly talk about which serves as a personal diary and is passworded will be able to be utilized by my children and possibly my great grandchildren to get insight into my life and our family.
We are essentially generating a story book that covers our lives imagine in a 100 or 200 hundred years your descendants being able to read about ones life in excruciating detail. Thus the deadwood of dead web sites etc may not be such a bad thing. [Yahoo]
