There is some concern that TiVo may not be able to survive the cable companies introduction of units of there own. I personally think they will because the cable company versions do not allow you to skip commercials and are missing some of the best features TiVo has. But just the same TiVo is hoping to cash in by selling there software to the cable companies as the boxes the cable companies are selling are buggy and are causing people to either loose or not be able to record at all.
