300 Gig Hard Drive by Maxtor

You know about a year ago I made the plunge and upgraded a bunch of hard drives in my servers by putting in some 160 gig drives. This allowed me to retire a CD server I had. Now that they have reached the 300 gig barrier we are really going to start seeing some information overload. I have a hard enough time managing my personal documents and pictures on a single 160 gig drives. Fortunately I have my data organized where anyone in my household can find it. I bring a lot of work home and with a portable external drive this data is kept away from my personal files. It will not be long before companies are going to spring up and there sole business in life will be keeping individuals data organized. Hmmm did I just give away a business Idea Hmmmm well in the mean time run out and snap up one of these huge drives and fill it up. I personally can’t wait till we reach the 1 Terabyte mark on a single drive. But we have come a long way baby as I still have my first 65 meg RLL hard drive as a book end to remind me where we have been. [DesignTechnica]
