Connect any IDE drive to USB

I already own several Kanguru Drives and Firewire external HD’s it seems I am always doing projects that take massive amounts of storage (Autocad & Photo Imaging) and I try to off-load that data from my laptop hard-drive. My favorite external large capacity media of choice is a 60gb “Logitec” firewire drive that fits in a shirt pocket. I picked it up in Japan and when I get back to Japan again I’m going to get a couple more as I have not seen these on sale in the United States. At home I have stacks of older IDE drives that range in memory from 10 to 40 gigs that are sitting on a shelf collecting dust. I will never sell them as they have all handled personal correspondence and financial information. They will get a hammer and be smashed before they go in the trash. But now a company has come out with a cool gadget that will allow me to revitalize those old drives. If the backup software in XP allows me I will use this IDE/ATAPI Adapter Cable (PC/Mac) kit to backup my laptops to older IDE drives. This saves buying a formal housing that companies like Kanguru offer. At $37.00 a kit I will get two one for home and one for the office. [DealSonic]
