The bloody battle continues in the Music Piracy Fight

There is more information being leaked out about the landmark agreement that the RIAA and Software/Consumer Product vendors hashed out. Unfortunately as we reported before they did not invite the MPAA so now you have a Goliath Versus Goliath battle that is already getting ugly.

With the RIAA and their collaborators now pitted against MPAA legislative initiatives this could boil down to who has the deepest pockets.

1. The RIAA has finally figured out that they will in now way quell the transfer of files via P2P technology. (I wonder what made them finally admit it)

2. Most technology companies want the government to stay out of the anit-copying technology sector and do not want new legislation.

Tine will tell but I bet this is going to be a long process in which consumers need to be sure to voice there opinions to technology companies and make sure they understand that we will vote with our wallets if they back-door us and put in technology that restricts fair use laws. [The Register]
