If my connection here was better I would go thru the archives here and reference a article that I penned early on. The jist was the RIAA was claiming that music swapping was killing there business. My personal thought and experience has been as I gain access to a broad spectrum of music I would have not normally had the chance to listen to it has driven me to buy music in a greater diversity and thus buying more CD’s than I ever have.
