I have purchased the 3 additional OLPC laptops from the donations received. Geek News Central Listeners raised enough money for 3 Laptops and 2 of the three had already been ordered.
During the 24hr Podcast we had enough money raised for 2 laptops and I have ordered those plus the third laptop that was still due the Geek News Central Audience.
One of the 24hr Podcast Laptop Winners opted to have his laptop sent overseas, so we have in essence sent 6 laptops to a deserving child in one of the donor countries.
I am very pleased with the outreach of everyone that was involved and it shows that this community of listeners associated with the 24hr Podcast and the Geek News Central Podcast are amazing advocates for the cause.
