FUJI EnviroMax Environmentally Safe Batteries- CES 2009

FUJI EnviroMax Environmentally Safe BatteriesFUJI has come out with a line of Environmentally Safe Batteries produced under the EnviroMax line. When anyone claims they have Environmentally safe batteries, one has a tendency to raise there eyebrows.

While FUJI says the elements of the battery are made up of natural elements, I am not able to judge how environmentally safe they are from a scientific stand point but from talking with them I came away with a positive reaction.Green Alkaline Batteries

They are a well known company in Japan that is as popular of some major brands in the United States. I have been buying FUJI batteries for years when I am overseas. If the claims and the hype live up to what they are saying I will forever more buy these non-rechargeable  batteries.

They have the staying power of other brands. Please be aware these are not rechargeable batteries they are disposable Digital and Super Alkaline Batteries. Pricing is said to be comparable to leading brands.

GNC-CES-2009-Cavium Networks HD Wireless Technology

AT CES Unveiled during CES 2009 we talked with Cavium Networks over their HD Wireless Technology. Technology if employed in our electronic devices will eliminate the need to wire a monitor.

This is a perfect solution for those that have home entertainment gear some distance from the television or even those wanting to run a second monitor.

The thing to key in on in the video is the discussion about zero latency and the picture quality.

BOXEE – CES 2009 Interview – You Need This!

CES 2009 Boxee entertainment experience music photos videos hulu flickrI was lucky enough to get a chance to talk to the folks at BOXEE during CES 2009 at CES Unveiled. I will admit up front I am a big fan of the media offering.

For those not up to speed on Boxee all I can say is there technology has transformed my Apple TV into a true multi-media device that allows me to get almost all of the programming that I am paying my cable provider for.

There offering is of such magnitude that I am sure many cable providers are really worried that people like me are going to replace our cable subscriptions with offerings from companies like Boxee. With the major networks putting a great deal of their content online it is only a mater of time when cable companies are going to be bypassed.

Boxee allows you to experience your Flickr Images, TV Shows, Music, Photos, Hulu, get Netflix Videos, and enjoy streaming content along with integration into more media sites all the time.

All they need to do to really seal the deal is come up with their own box similar to the ROKU. Boxee has a developers API so I foresee in coming days a significant increase in this products viability.

Cavium Networks Pureview HD Wireless CES 2009

Cavium Networks CES 2009 at CES UnveiledThe Tech Podcast Network team member Andy McCaskey from SDRNews.com had a chance to talk to the folks at Cavium Networks at CES Unveiled. They were demonstrating technology that allows all of us to get rid of all those pesky wires we have running from devices we feed our HD televisions with.

What was cool about their technology is that you could as an example have a Bluray player running and feeding multiple televisions at a time. They also employ zero latency with their pureview technology that would allow a gamer to run this wireless technology.

Cavium Networks is seeking channel partners to build the wireless technology into consumer media equipment.

My takeaway from this product was the zero latency and the picture quality was simply amazing and to think that at some point in the near future I would no longer need wires to hook up my monitors in my home
