Optical Cables by Corning offers the first all-optical fiber cables for the Thunderbolt community. They are available in lengths spanning up to 60 meters. The cables enable broadcasters and A/V professionals to connect computers and peripherals at speeds up to 10 Gb/s through Thunderbolt technology and up to 20 Gb/s through Thunderbolt 2. Optical Cables by Corning are 50 percent smaller, 80 percent lighter, and stronger than comparable copper cables.
At NAB 2014, Optical Cables by Corning announced a new rebate program with LaCie and Magma. With the purchase of a Thunderbolt enabled device from LaCie or Magma and a Thunderbolt Optical Cable by Corning, users can save up to $150.00.
