The Steve Jobs Tribute Desk

October 5, 2012, marks the one year anniversary of the death of Steve Jobs. Those of you who are continuing to mourn his death might want to get yourself a Steve Jobs Tribute Desk. Designer Kyle Buckner has created The SJ Tribute Project. It includes custom made desks that are sleek, handmade, and that each have a special laser etched “SJ Tribute” logo on them.

You can see images of the SJ Tribute Desks on Kyle Buckner’s website. (I am not certain that any of the images there are released under creative commons). He’s done a great job of capturing Apple’s essential style of having clean lines and excellent craftsmanship. At first glance, one might mistake the desk for a bench. There are no drawers, or back, to interfere with the clean, simplified, design.

You can have one of these made in dark walnut or spiced cherry. The end panel on the desk is available in white or black high gloss finishes. It appears that the original price for a desk was $1,299.99, but that price has a strikethrough over it. The current price is on sale for $999.99. With every desk that is ordered, Kyle Buckner will donate a percentage to the American Cancer Society.

In addition to the Steve Jobs Tribute Desk, you can also pick up an SJ Tribute Macbook Skin, an SJ Tribute iPhone Skin (for the iPhone 4, 4S, or 5),or an SJ Tribute Mousepad. These are currently priced at around $10.00 to around $20.00, which many will find more affordable than the desks.
